I have been seeing Mr Acharya over last 18 months or so to relieve arthritis pain in my feet metatarsal joints. I have had three sessions of local injections during that time and pleased to say have seen improvement in the uncomfortable and painful joints. Now discharged from his care but would happily recommend him to any other sufferers.

Having had to wait for over a year before I got an appointment, having been told by others there was nothing wrong with my ankle. This Doctor took time to explain exactly what was wrong with my ankle, to possible treatments and which could be good to start. He made constructive observations and I followed all that he said including 2 injections which helped with swelling and pain. I now follow a strict routine of exercise which he suggested was the one way to avoid a operation. This I would only use as a last resort. He always listened and answered questions in a way for me to understand the outcomes.

I had been treated with steroid injections after suffering a swollen & painful arthritic ankle for a number of years. Unfortunately this method of pain relieve was no longer working. I was referred to Mr.Acharya who suggested I have fusion surgery of my subtalar joint. At first I was reluctant to have the operation but Mr.Acharya explained he would perform keyhole joint surgery on my ankle which would be less intrusive & leave me pain free. He explained in great detail how he would perform the surgery, answered all my concerns and provided me with websites where I could do my own research. Reassured I decided to go ahead with the surgery & had the operation in April 2017. I am so glad I did, I am now painfree, my foot is no longer swollen and I can stand & walk for much longer periods than I was able to previously. I had regular follow up appointments with Mr.Acharya who explained how the fusion was progressing and I was finally discharged last week. I am extremely grateful to Mr.Acharya for giving me a new lease of life and would highly recommend him..

I am indeed delighted that I could help you. Your hard work after the operation also played a big part, though. Have a nice, 'pain-free' Christmas!

Dr. Acharya gave me respect at all times, and answered my questions and any problems truthfully, putting any worries at rest. I was admitted as a day case, I had keyhole surgery for a toe correction, which went very well. Thank you.

Glad to hear that the surgery has helped you. I hope to give more patients the benefit of this newer, minimally invasive (keyhole) surgery technique. Regards.
